Registered Social Worker

verified by TherapyRoute

I am a counsellor and social worker who supports mothers through the emotional and practical shifts that come with early parenthood. My work includes support for perinatal depression and anxiety, preparation for and adjusting to parenting, emotional regulation, stress management, identity shifts, relationship change or breakdown and grief and loss.

About Me

I have worked for the last six years as a social worker, counsellor and matresence practitioner in both a private practice and within a non profit setting. I have a Masters in Social Work, am I am a mother of three children and understand professionally and personally the unique transitions and challenges faced in motherhood.

Approach

My approach is empathetic and practical acknowledging that mothers need tools and strategies to manage their wellbeing as well as support to experience growth around identity, relationships and roles. I provide a non-judgemental space to explore and work through challenges. Motherhood can be so deeply beautiful and so hard at the same time. It often feels hard because it is hard. Counselling can help you work through those challenges. It can help your voice feel louder and clearer, can help you understand your emotions, find ways to live in alignment with your values, and live the one precious life you want to live.
