Ms Laura Schlebusch, MA

Clinical Psychologist

Verified

“I primarily work psychodynamically, with a relational orientation. I believe that the therapeutic relationship provides an important foundation for understanding how we relate to ourselves and to others. When we have an experience of being heard and understood in a non-judgmental environment, it can become possible to look more closely at patterns that no longer serve us.”

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist working with individual patients and couples. I completed my internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital and my community service at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. During my training I had the opportunity to work with a variety of different populations including children, forensic patients, and adults across the lifespan. Beginning therapy can feel like a vulnerable step. I aim to offer a collaborative therapeutic relationship that feels containing while also providing space to explore experiences, patterns and relationships that may be difficult or confronting.
