Ms Laura Knight

Registered Counselor

I am a trained, experienced and registered counsellor who works with a range of issues and specialises in working with survivors of abuse.

About Me

As a registered and experienced counsellor, I offer a confidential space to explore a range of concerns. I specialise in supporting survivors of abuse, understanding the unique challenges and pain this can bring. We can work together to navigate difficult emotions and find a path towards healing. In our sessions, we’ll work at your pace. This creates a safe place where you can feel truly heard and understood, helping you to move forward.

Approach

Sessions unfold gently, pacing to your readiness while we pay attention to how past hurt, low mood or anxiety show up day to day. I offer in-person appointments in Poole, Dorset, in a private room where practical safety and confidentiality are prioritised. Together we listen, reflect, name feelings, trace unhelpful patterns and build small, manageable strategies you can try between meetings, with regular check-ins to adjust as needed. This way of working tends to suit adults seeking steady, compassionate support through change and recovery.
