Laura Bester

Clinical Psychologist

I assist adolescents and adults who experience a range of psychological difficulties, in a safe and non-judgmental space.

About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Claremont, Western Cape, South Africa. I treat anger, anxiety, behaviour and conduct issues, grief, and mood disorders. I provide psych and diagnostic assessments.

Approach

Balancing careful assessment with practical pacing, I help clients shape clear, manageable goals while we track small changes session by session. I offer appointments in English and Afrikaans, meeting face-to-face in Cape Town or via secure online sessions so the work fits daily life. Sessions blend focused assessment, emotion regulation and behavioural experiments, and I often suggest brief between-session practices to build momentum and insight. People navigating anger, loss, relationship strain or mood shifts generally find this steady, collaborative way of working useful.
