About Me

Dr. Lars Hendrick brings over 25 years of experience in Neuroscience and Psychology across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, South Africa, and now Sri Lanka. A Mensa International member with a background spanning Neuroscience, Psychology, and Quantum Physics, he combines deep expertise with a uniquely personal approach to therapy. “ I believe that, while many people may share similar challenges, no two individuals need the same solution. My vision is simple: every person deserves support that respects their individuality, history, and way of seeing the world. Although based in Sri Lanka now I help people worldwide” Beyond his clinical work, Dr Lars is a premium member of Therapy Route, speaks Dutch, English, Swiss German, German, and French, and pursues passions in scuba diving, piano, guitar, and music.

Approach

Working here means blending practical, goal-focused sessions with patient exploration so you leave with clearer choices and tools you can use between meetings. In Colombo or online I work in Dutch, German or English, pacing sessions to match your rhythm and checking in on progress each week; couples and individuals often receive short exercises or reflections to practice. Sessions balance direct behavioral steps with brief cognitive reframing, and many clients find this structured, collaborative pace useful for anxiety, addiction or relationship strain.
