I am a Clinical Psychologist working with adults to address long-standing emotional patterns, relationship difficulties, and entrenched self-criticism. My approach is compassionate, structured, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong focus on emotional healing and lasting change.

About Me

People often come to see me when they’ve tried to “think their way out” of difficulties but still feel stuck. As a schema therapist, I help clients make sense of their emotional patterns with curiosity rather than self-blame. I value authenticity, emotional depth, and a strong therapeutic relationship, and I work at a pace that feels containing and respectful. My goal is to help clients develop a kinder relationship with themselves and more fulfilling ways of connecting with others.

Approach

Schema therapy helps people understand and change long-standing emotional patterns that often began early in life. Many of the difficulties we experience as adults—such as harsh self-criticism, relationship struggles, or feeling stuck—develop as ways of coping with unmet emotional needs. In therapy, we work together to make sense of these patterns with compassion rather than blame, heal the emotional pain underneath them, and build healthier, more supportive ways of relating to yourself and others. The approach is structured, warm, and focused on meaningful, lasting change.

Basic Information

Services

I offer Schema Therapy to adults in Cape Town, both in person, and online. Schema Therapy is often helpful for people who struggle with harsh self-criticism, shame, or never feeling “good enough”, or for those who repeatedly end up in painful relationship dynamics, those who feel emotionally disconnected, numb, or “shut down”, or for those who grew up feeling unseen, misunderstood, controlled, or unsafe. People who are high-functioning on the outside, but struggling internally, or those who want therapy that goes deeper than just coping strategies may really resonate with Schema Therapy. If you’re looking for surface-level advice, this may not be the right fit. If you’re ready to understand your inner world and change long-standing patterns, you’re in the right place.
