Kevin Hilke

Psychotherapist

I provide therapy under the supervision of Dr. Jacquie Josephson. My approach is trauma- and attachment-informed, culturally humble, psychodynamic, and intersectionally feminist. I specialize in working with interpersonal abuse/chronic PTSD, entrenched depression, and dissociative dynamics in humans of all backgrounds.

About Me

When coping with the lasting impacts of trauma, deep depression, or dissociative dynamics, finding the right support is vital. Together, we can gently unravel how past experiences and relationships shape your present. My trauma- and attachment-informed approach offers a sensitive path to understanding complex patterns. I welcome humans of all backgrounds, providing a culturally humble and intersectionally feminist space.

Approach

To help untangle how past relationships shape present reactions, I work at a measured pace that balances reflection with practical grounding. In sessions — in my Oakland office or via secure online meetings in English — we track moments of disconnection, notice shifts in body and attention, and gently name patterns so they lose their secrecy. I use focused exploration alongside stabilization practices between sessions, tailoring rhythm to your tolerance and goals. People who’ve felt stuck by chronic trauma or persistent low mood often find this steady, relational way of working useful.
