Dr Kety Pavlou

Clinical Psychologist

I am an experienced and compassionate therapist who works predominately with adults and couples within a psychanalytically informed approach

About Me

As an experienced and compassionate therapist, I help adults and couples explore the deeper patterns influencing their lives. We can gently uncover how past experiences shape present challenges, fostering insight into recurring difficulties in relationships or within yourself. My aim is to create a thoughtful, collaborative space for profound self-discovery. This approach is ideal for those seeking lasting change and a clearer path forward.

Approach

By attending to the subtle patterns that emerge in your stories, I guide our work toward gentle but honest noticing and connection. I offer sessions in English from my Johannesburg practice and online, keeping a measured pace that balances reflection, moments of quiet, and targeted inquiry so themes around loss, transitions or relationship strain can be felt and understood. Between meetings I sometimes suggest small experiments or observations to deepen insight. This way of working suits those who want thoughtful, enduring shifts rather than quick fixes.
