Ms Kersha Govender

Occupational Therapist

Occupational therapist with special interest in mental health and psychiatry.

About Me

Living with mental health challenges can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming. As an occupational therapist, I support individuals in finding practical ways to manage their well-being. We collaborate to explore how mental health impacts your routines, helping you re-engage with meaningful activities. Our sessions equip you with personalised strategies, from structuring your day to building coping skills. This approach is ideal for anyone seeking tangible steps to improve their daily functioning and quality of life.

Approach

With an occupational therapy lens focused on mental health and psychiatry, I guide a practical, stepwise way of working that turns goals into small, doable actions. Based in Cape Town and offering online sessions in English, appointments move at your pace—short structured check-ins, hands-on problem-solving and collaborative planning shaped around your daily realities. Between sessions we try simple experiments with routines, sensory or self-care adjustments and reflect on what helped so skills grow into habit. This hands-on, gradual approach tends to suit people facing transitions, parenting demands, work stress or recovery.
