Mrs Kerry Sutton, BCouns

Counselor

I am a qualified counsellor supporting individuals and couples through relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and anxiety. I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. My approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and solution-focused, with an emphasis on practical tools that support real-life change. I work collaboratively, respecting each client’s unique history and capacity for growth. Sessions are available on the Gold Coast and online.

About Me

Welcome, I’m Kerry. I work with individuals and couples seeking support with relationship and marriage concerns, grief and loss, and managing anxiety. I offer a calm, respectful space where you can speak openly, without fear of judgement, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. I offer counselling on the Gold Coast and online in a space designed to feel calm, private, and supportive. It’s a place where you can slow down, speak freely, and feel truly heard. Together, we take time to gently explore what’s been weighing on you, helping you gain clarity and confidence in your own understanding. With the right support and practical tools, many people discover they can begin to navigate their challenges in ways that feel more grounded and self-directed—something that isn’t always possible when turning to friends or family.

Approach

My approach is grounded in person-centred, strengths-based, and solution-focused counselling. In practice, this means I prioritise creating a warm, accepting environment where you feel genuinely heard and respected. I believe in your ability to grow and change, and I work with your existing strengths, insights, and life experiences to support meaningful and sustainable progress. When working with couples, I draw on the Gottman Method to help partners communicate more effectively, deepen emotional connection, and create meaningful, lasting change. Sessions take place in a calm, private, and confidential setting—separate from busy shopping areas and clinical environments. Finding the right counsellor is a personal decision, and feeling comfortable and understood is essential. If you’re considering taking the next step, I offer a complimentary 15-minute inquiry call so we can see whether working together feels like a good fit.
