Ms Kerry Collins
Psychotherapist
“My therapeutic approach is integrative - currently only in English but I am working hard to improve my Portuguese! Most session work will usually start out using person centred and/or play-led and creativity-based modalities. A person-centred focus, particularly at the outset, helps build trust in the therapeutic process and relationship. Play and creativity promote access to areas of the brain which can be restricted or closed off by traditional techniques, particularly if there is any reticence or resistance to therapeutic input. If or when you feel ready, we can move into more psychodynamic or other approaches, where appropriate.”
