My approach
when working with women and families is a from a strengths-based perspective that is compassionate, transparent, and inclusive.
Areas of expertise include self-esteem & confidence building, life transitions/changes, relationship issues, trauma, domestic violence, sexual violence, women's issues, pregnancy health & emotional wellness, family building, attachment & bonding, open adoption planning & support, and adoptive parenting support.
I utilize best practices in adoption as well as evidenced-based interventions such as compassion-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, feminist therapy, trauma-focused therapy, attachment-based therapy, therapeutic parenting, family-centered coaching, family systems approach, and adoption competencies.
