Ms Kat O'Mara

Counselor

I offer counselling for women who experience relationship difficulties, have been affected by childhood trauma, domestic or sexual abuse, relationship and family issues resulting in anxiety, depression, feelings of loss and grief and low self-esteem.

About Me

I offer a calm, confidential space for women to navigate relationship difficulties and the lasting impact of past trauma or abuse. We can gently explore feelings of anxiety, depression, loss, and low self-esteem. Together, we work to understand their roots and help you reclaim your voice. My aim is to support you in building confidence and finding a path towards renewed well-being and stronger connections.

Approach

When past hurts and relationship struggles surface, I slow the pace so you can gently notice patterns, bodily responses and the small decisions that keep you stuck. Sessions—available in Melbourne or online, in English or Polish—move at a steady, collaborative rhythm with space for reflection between meetings, practical skills for managing anxiety and mood, and attention to safety when trauma memories arise. This way of working tends to suit women seeking gentle clarity, steadier boundaries and gradual rebuilding of confidence.
