Ms Karen Mulligan

Counselor

A professional service specialising in workplace issues, high conflict divorce and separation and domestic abuse.

About Me

I help individuals navigate the complexities of workplace issues, high conflict divorce, and separation. My work also provides sensitive support for those impacted by domestic abuse. Clients often feel overwhelmed; I offer a safe, confidential space. Here, we process difficult emotions and develop practical strategies for moving forward. The aim is to find clarity and foster resilience during challenging times.

Approach

My practice focuses on the complexities people face at work, through contested relationships and when healing after abuse, and that focus shapes how I work with you. In person in Sligo or online in English, sessions are paced to your needs—steady, practical and attentive to safety—so we can untangle emotions alongside concrete next steps. I use trauma-aware listening, collaborative problem-solving and occasional short exercises between meetings to reinforce change. This approach suits adults seeking clear, steady support during difficult transitions.
