Counseling Psychologist

With a strong educational background and extensive experience in counseling. With experience in adult, elderly, adolescent, parental issues, and post, and prenatal counseling, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and practice in caring for others in a professional capacity.

About Me

I am a Counseling Psychologist and the founder of Unkural Counselling and Guidance, based in Shakti Nagar, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. I offer in-person counseling services in Coimbatore and provide online counseling sessions for clients worldwide. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including clients living abroad and those seeking culturally sensitive support while navigating personal, emotional, and life challenges. My work includes supporting people facing abuse, life transitions, adjustment and adaptation concerns, anxiety, and phobias. Through both in-person and online sessions, I aim to provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where individuals feel understood and empowered to move forward at their own pace.

Approach

My approach is collaborative, practical, and client-centred. I work with individuals to help them understand their thoughts, emotions, and life patterns, and to develop realistic strategies that support day-to-day functioning and emotional well-being. Sessions are interactive and reflective, combining structured conversations with experiential techniques such as art-based activities and guided exercises. These methods help clients express emotions that may be difficult to put into words and gain deeper self-awareness in a gentle, non-overwhelming way. Along with expressive work, therapy also focuses on identifying and working through unhelpful or negative thought patterns, emotional triggers, and behavioral habits. Clients are supported in learning practical tools for emotional regulation, clearer thinking, healthier coping, and decision-making that can be applied outside the session. The overall focus is not just on discussing concerns, but on helping clients feel more grounded, confident, and equipped to handle real-life challenges with greater clarity and balance.
