Ms Judy D Davis

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

My work has been with many struggling with addiction and recovery/intimacy challenges. 2020 has triggered relapses for families as a result of the COVID-19. Working with the entire family unit is vital to avoid anyone being identified as the problem. Communication and understanding as we seek change is critical.

About Me

I help individuals and families navigate addiction, recovery, and intimacy challenges. Recent years have brought unique stresses, often triggering relapses for families. I work with the entire family unit, ensuring no one feels identified as the problem. We focus on fostering clear communication and mutual understanding. This collaborative space allows us to seek positive change and strengthen your family's foundation together.

Approach

When relapse or intimacy strain enters a home, I focus on how members notice patterns, name what’s happening, and try different responses. Sessions in English — in my Woodland Hills office or online — move at a steady, practical pace so everyone can engage without feeling overwhelmed. We use short, skill-focused exercises, structured family conversations and small between-session experiments to shift roles and reduce blame, keeping attention on connection and responsibility together. This way of working often fits adolescents, parents, couples and families seeking steady repair.
