About Me
Approach
I approach therapy from an integrative and holistic perspective, with a person-centred stance and the belief that the therapeutic relationship as the basis of therapy. I aim to provide the client with a space in which they feel safe, understood, supported, and accepted as we collaboratively work through their presenting problems.
Thorough assessment takes place first to understand the client and their unique needs, background, and goals for therapy. This guides which psychological modalities and interventions are used integratively during the therapy process to provide the most effective assistance and treatment.
The modalities that I use most often include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Resource Therapy, and approaches that incorporate a focus on strengths, emotions, mindfulness, and meaning-making. I am also trained in Level 1 BrainWorking® Recursive Therapy (BWRT).
