Dr John Robert Rilveria

Registered Psychologist

I am a licensed clinical psychologist trained in cognitive therapy, schema therapy, behavior analysis, dialectical behavior therapy, and transdiagnostic interventions. I offer both online psychotherapy and clinical assessment services.

About Me

I offer online psychotherapy and clinical assessment grounded in evidence-based approaches. When overwhelming emotions or persistent patterns arise, we can work together to understand their deeper roots and the underlying concerns you carry. My aim is to support you in engaging with vulnerable aspects of yourself while strengthening healthier, more adaptive ways of being. Together, we can navigate complex challenges and develop meaningful paths forward.

Approach

My approach to therapy goes beyond addressing surface-level symptoms and presenting concerns. I begin with a working clinical hypothesis about the underlying mechanisms that give rise to these difficulties, whether they are rooted in longstanding schemas, maladaptive coping patterns, or unhelpful cognitive-affective processes. This approach helps us build a coherent understanding of your inner experiences linking past and present, insight and action. The goal is not only symptom relief, but also deeper, more sustainable change: strengthening your capacity to respond to life with flexibility, self-awareness, and resilience.
