Mr Joe Stiteler, MA

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Nothing can take you to the breaking point quite like a relationship that feels doomed. You've basked in the glow of a honeymoon phase (hopefully), coasting on excitement, anticipation, and thrill; now the work kicks in. Endorphins and oxytocin have leveled off and you've entered the impossibly complex world of knowing another human being more fully. Do you stick it out and battle past your own setbacks and inefficiencies (they're there), or do you cut bait and start the process anew? Do you take the risk of accessing your own vulnerability and knowing yourself more deeply, or do you keep your floaties strapped on tightly?

About Me

I'm drawn to this work as of the result my own experiences in the romantic sphere - both good and bad. And I'm inspired by the ones who've made it this far, to this page, in searching for some answers in how to keep not just their relationship alive, but also the romantic spark and hope that lives inside all of us.

Approach

My training has centered around attachment styles, neuroscience, and attention to communication patterns that derail healthier connection. I think therapy should be collaborative, creative, playful and sometimes confronting - providing the treatment spontaneity and authenticity that can be beneficial in life outside of the therapeutic setting.
