Ms Joan Kirera

Counseling Psychologist

My work is to help individuals move from stuck positions, find new strategies of managing life challenges and live productively.

About Me

I help individuals move from feeling stuck, especially when life challenges seem overwhelming. We can work together to explore new ways of understanding your experiences and develop practical strategies. My aim is to help you gain confidence. This supports you in managing difficulties and living a more productive, fulfilling life.

Approach

When things feel overwhelming, I guide us toward clear, manageable steps that match your pace and priorities. Sessions in Nairobi or online, conducted in English, are practical and paced — brief check-ins, focused reflection, and simple between-session tasks to try out new ways of coping. I use respectful curiosity, gentle pacing and small behavioural experiments to work through painful memories, parenting strains or relationship patterns and keep progress measurable and adjustable. This approach suits people seeking steady, down-to-earth change.
