Registered Social Worker

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or impacted by trauma, you are not alone — and therapy can help. I provide trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults, including male survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Therapy with me is warm, straightforward, and supportive. In our work together, we’ll build insight, coping tools, and practical strategies to help you feel more grounded and able to move forward with lasting change.

About Me

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or emotionally stuck — you’re not alone. You might be carrying a lot, putting on a strong face, or feeling like you “should be doing better” even when things feel hard. Hi, I’m Jennifer. I offer a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and start to feel more grounded again. Therapy can be a place to slow down, sort through what’s going on, and get clear on what you need. I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years and provide therapy through a trauma-informed lens. I have supported individuals with a wide range of trauma experiences, including working with male survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I am a Registered Social Worker and Registered Social Service Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I have also completed training in EMDR and ImTT, which can be used as part of trauma therapy when appropriate.

Approach

My approach is collaborative, practical, honest, and compassionate. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and supportive — a space where you don’t have to have it all together. Together, we’ll work to better understand what’s contributing to your challenges, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build coping tools that create meaningful changes in your day-to-day life. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe, manageable, and effective for you.
