Mrs Javaneh Pirzad

Child Psychotherapist

Supporting children, teens and families who struggle with emotional and psychological difficulties such as low self-esteem, anger or anxiety

About Me

This Child Psychotherapist (MA) supports children, teens, and families struggling with low self-esteem, anger, or anxiety. The therapeutic approach helps young people understand complex feelings and develop practical coping strategies. Sessions provide a calm, understanding space for every family member. This collaborative environment fosters confidence. Families gain tools for healthier emotional expression, creating lasting positive change at home.

Approach

Sessions centre on helping young people name and organise difficult feelings into manageable steps, then practising small, practical responses that fit family life. In The Hague and online I work in English and Farsi, keeping sessions brisk but unhurried so children, teens and parents can try things in between meetings and bring back what worked. Play, creative tasks and gentle questioning help surface patterns, while short family check-ins support changes at home. Families facing anxiety, behaviour challenges or painful past experiences often find this hands-on pace useful.
