Ms Jane Mills

Wellness Counselor

verified by TherapyRoute

I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem difficulties, and emotional overwhelm. My counselling approach is warm, grounded, and relational, creating a space where clients can explore their experiences with honesty, safety, and curiosity. Alongside my private counselling work, I have extensive experience facilitating groups, debriefing spaces, and personal development processes within both community and organisational settings. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and move toward more meaningful and sustainable ways of living.

About Me

I am a licensed Wellness Counsellor based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. I hold an Honours degree in Journalism and Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Adult Education, and is certified in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Alongside my development work, I offer 1:1 counselling and group debriefing and support groups grounded in relational and experiential approaches, supporting clients through anxiety, transition, loss and self-discovery.

Approach

I guide my work through felt experience and clear, practical steps. I tend to slow things down so we can notice what’s happening in your body, your relationships, and your day-to-day choices. In our sessions, whether in Cape Town or online, in English, we balance small, practical experiments with reflective awareness, and at times, I offer support between sessions so changes can take hold in real life. Our work is collaborative. We track small shifts, adjust what’s working, and keep an eye on emotional safety throughout. This steady, attuned approach is often helpful for people navigating transitions, burnout, or relationship challenges.
