Jaff

Mr Jaff Choong

Counselor

I am a registered counsellor under the Board of Counsellor, Malaysia and a Certified NDP Trainer from UK. I practice therapeutic play in my job for the past 13 years in educational, hospital and welfare settings (including juvenile school). I speak fluent Malay, Mandarin, English, Hockkien and Cantonese.

About Me

I support individuals in understanding and expressing complex feelings through therapeutic play. With 13 years' experience across educational, hospital, and welfare settings, I offer a gentle space to explore challenges. My approach, rooted in play, helps make sense of experiences in a non-verbal way. Fluent in Malay, Mandarin, English, Hockkien, and Cantonese, I connect with diverse clients, ensuring everyone feels truly heard.

Approach

Play-based methods guide how we turn difficult feelings into small, understandable steps, letting clients lead the pace and choose expressive activities that suit them. Sessions in Kuala Lumpur or online are available in Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and English, with space for quiet play, storytelling, reflection and simple grounding tools you can use between meetings. Parents or partners are invited when helpful to support progress and safety, and we track change through gentle check-ins rather than rushed goals. This approach tends to help children, adolescents, parents and young adults finding clearer emotional direction.
