Ms Jacquie Dorn

Therapeutic Counselor

As an Integrative Counsellor in private practice since 2006 I work with each client to find the therapy that suits them best.

About Me

As an an Integrative Counsellor I draw on insights and techniques from a range of mainstream therapies – in particular person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This enables me to respond flexibly to each client’s way of thinking, feeling and behaving, working together to create the therapeutic style or styles which suit them best. I know from experience that everyone has the ability to learn, heal, and grow. I have been in private practice since 2006, working with private clients as well as those referred to me by employers, insurance companies, Employee Assistance Providers, and schools. During this time I have amassed well over 14, 000 sessions with clients (my sessions last a full 60 minutes). I continue to study and develop my practice, exceeding the BACP’s requirement for 30 hours of continuing professional development per year. I also have regular ongoing supervision. I work both online and in person. (Face to face work with COVID precautions in place).
