Jacqueline M Colligan

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

I help adults explore complex feelings & relational patterns. We work together to understand underlying dynamics and/or develop practical tools for daily use. I work globally online & face to face in London, UK, Newcastle upon Tyne: Tynemouth NE30, Jesmond NE2 & Gosforth NE3.

About Me

I am a London trained, BACP registered Psychotherapist, educated to Masters Degree level. Originally, I worked in Behavioural Healthcare Science and Organisational Psychology as a Public Health Academic, lecturing and researching at Newcastle University Medical School and on the University of Durham MBA Programme. As a result, I have authored numerous academic papers on changing health behaviours, and have several high ranking publications in these fields of study.

Approach

Therapy with me can include careful reflection on relational patterns and shorter, practical steps that can ease day-to-day distress. In-session we may notice recurring patterns and themes, I sometimes suggest (optional) brief between-session exercises to anchor new ways of coping.
