Mr Jack Szary

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I often see clients who are facing anxiety, stress, or mental health challenges related to past or present experiences of trauma. My clients typically have a strong desire to succeed, minimize rejection, and achieve excellence. Through evidence-based treatment we will work to overcome these challenges.

About Me

It can be challenging when anxiety or stress from past trauma impacts your drive. Many of my clients are high-achievers who want to minimise rejection and excel. I offer a collaborative space where we can address these experiences using evidence-based treatment. This helps you develop practical strategies, fostering confidence to achieve your goals.

Approach

When past trauma feeds perfectionism and fear of rejection, I focus on practical steps that reduce overwhelm while honoring the pace you set. In my Brooklyn office and via secure online sessions in English, sessions feel steady and goal-focused—brief experiments in applying skills, psychoeducation about stress responses, and attention training to steady focus between meetings. I offer evidence‑informed exercises, gentle behavioral experiments, and collaborative problem‑solving to turn anxiety, anger, or burnout into clearer choices. People who want concrete tools and paced, honest work tend to find this helpful.
