Isa Carreira, MSc

Registered Clinical Psychologist

At the heart of my work is a simple intention: to invite you to relate to yourself with kindness, and to find a sense of peace, with your story, your body, and who you are.

About Me

Born and raised in central Portugal, Leiria will always feel like home. Naturally curious and gently restless, I’ve come to see stepping beyond the comfort zone as an essential part of getting to know ourselves more deeply. It’s in those moments of movement and discovery that we begin to understand who we are. With a free and open spirit, I’ve experienced both the stillness and the intensity of the different places where I’ve lived and worked. Each of them has shaped me, challenging me, teaching me, and helping me grow. My interest in Psychology and Psychoanalysis began early in life, driven by a desire to understand people more deeply, their needs, their inner worlds, their struggles, but also their potential and their beauty. Supporting others in their journey towards self-understanding and emotional well-being soon became not just a path, but a calling.

Approach

My work is grounded in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, integrated with approaches that allow me to adapt to each person’s unique needs. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship, a space where you can feel safe, heard, and understood. I aim to support you in making sense of whatever may be bringing you distress or discomfort. Together, we gently explore your story, your experiences, and the meaning behind them, always in a space free from judgment. From there, we can begin to understand where you come from and, at your own pace, where you would like to go.
