Idara

Ms Idara Brown, MSc

Counselor (Unregistered)

I help high-functioning adults break free from anxiety, overthinking, and emotional burnout so they can regain clarity, direction, and control. My work is structured and results-focused, using CBT and motivational strategies to create real, measurable change—not just temporary relief. For clients who want it, I also integrate faith in a grounded, practical way that aligns mental and spiritual growth.

About Me

You don’t need more advice. You need a clear way forward. Most people don’t come to therapy because they’re curious; they come because something isn’t working anymore. Maybe you’ve tried to push through on your own. Maybe you’ve prayed, overthought, avoided, or just kept going… but nothing really shifts. That’s where I come in. I’m a mental health professional and founder of Brown Psychological Services. I work with individuals who are ready to move beyond just coping and actually start changing patterns—thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses that keep them stuck. My work is structured, collaborative, and practical. This isn’t a space where you talk endlessly and hope something clicks. We identify what’s not working, understand why, and actively work toward change. For clients who are faith-oriented, I also integrate biblical principles in a grounded, psychologically sound way, not surface-level advice, but deep alignment between your mental and spiritual life.

Approach

My approach is structured, practical, and focused on real change. I primarily use: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns Motivational Interviewing to strengthen commitment to change Faith integration (on request) for clients who want their therapy aligned with their Christian walk Sessions are active and goal-oriented. You will be guided, challenged, and supported as we work through patterns that are keeping you stuck. You can expect: Clear direction and honest feedback Practical tools you can apply immediately Accountability between sessions All sessions are conducted online via secure video.
