About Me

I am an Addiction therapist based Lewes and Hove in the UK and of course, I see clients online too. Whether you are sober curious or at the end of your addiction, we'll work through your difficulties and find solutions, in a safe, non-judgemental space.

Approach

You can expect a completely confidential, non-judgemental, empathetic & warm space to explore what's going on for you. Safety. No clipboards! I am a person-centred therapist with many years personal and therapeutic experience and will draw from a number of modalities over the course of our relationship, for example aspects of CBT, meta-cognitive therapy, mindfulness & meditation and twelve step to help you find your way into change. Everyone is different so I don't offer a 'one package fits all' service of course, it will be collaborative and about you. You’ll get to meet me and decide if therapy with me is right for you and you’ll take away hope, of that I’m sure.

Basic Information

Services

There are many areas I can help you with- anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, distressing childhood or adult events, but I specialise in helping people with drug and alcohol problems, and of course, addiction. I also work with people who have reached such a point in their lives where suicide becomes a real option, maybe they have even tried. My clients range in age from young adults who have found temporary (moving into habitual) relief from emotional pain in drink or smoking, through to adults who have reached a low point and need to change. Some want a specialist to talk to about their current use and may not know what they want their relationship with a substance to be.....that's fine too.....there's no judgement, no expectations, just a professional space for you to talk this through. What can you expect from me? A non-judgemental, safe, collaborative space to explore your drinking & using. I will have no agenda, no definition of who you are, and I will not 'tell you' you need to stop. This is about you, not me and if you're reading this, you're contemplating change- I'm in your corner. Together we'll work through what is going on for you and where you think you want to get to. As above, our therapy will be collaborative and the goals and future you see for yourself will be yours, not mine, but we'll get there together using a blend of research based theory and my own experience, held together with the therapeutic scaffolding of a person centred approach but using other methods to draw from you these complexities around change that substance misuse brings. Please email and book in. My service can be traditional 'in-room therapy', or online.
