Dr Hiro Koo

Psychotherapist

PhD (UUM) Holder, a registered trauma-informed hypnotherapist (IMDHA), and psychotherapist who mainly uses trauma-informed approaches (EMDR, Neurofeedback, Parts therapy, CBH). The first intake session (screening and therapeutic goal setting) professional fee with my team is RM200 only

About Me

As an integrative psychotherapist, I help clients gently address the deep impacts of trauma. I draw on specific trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR. Our work together guides you in processing difficult experiences, fostering understanding, and finding stability. This approach suits those ready to explore past challenges with compassionate support. The initial session is designed to understand your unique situation and set clear, collaborative goals for your well-being.

Approach

Assessment and gentle stabilization guide how we proceed, moving at the pace you choose while we translate goals from the first meeting into a clear session plan. In my Bangsar South clinic or via Mandarin/English online sessions, I blend focused memory work, guided trance framing and paced biofeedback to help you access and reorganize stuck responses; sessions alternate skill practice with reflective integration and short between-session supports. This approach suits people seeking steady, collaborative change after difficult experiences.
