Ms Gosia Juzwinska

Psychotherapist

English & Polish speaking psychotherapist, working with individual adult clients and couples, online & in central Warsaw. I use a humanistic, relational apprach, integrating Gestalt therapy with brainspotting and integrative, trauma-informed methods.

About Me

I am a certified Gestalt psychotherapist (EAGT certificate no. 25-4331), integrating a humanistic and experiential approach with brainspotting and other trauma-informed methods. My way of working is relational and process-oriented, grounded in authenticity, empathy, and focused on what unfolds in the “here and now.” I don't see myself as an authority figure who knows better, nor as someone who has to "fix" or "save" anyone. I see my role as a companion in the process of healing, self-discovery, and development – with mindfulness, support, but also a willingness to engage in empathetic confrontation. During sessions, I actively participate in the dialogue, sometimes sharing my observations, emotions, and reactions – in a way that supports the therapeutic process and remains appropriate to the situation. I believe that lasting change comes from exploring the underlying causes of difficulties, not just the symptoms, and from developing greater awareness of how a person thinks, feels, and relates to others. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship itself, which provides a safe, authentic space where clients can explore, heal, and grow.

Approach

Alongside elements of traditional talk therapy, focused on naming, understanding, and making meaning of experience, I also incorporate experiential approaches that engage emotions and embodied awareness in the “here and now.” This may involve working with imagery, symbolic objects, or different parts of the self, as well as body-oriented techniques that help access and regulate emotional states through attention to breath, posture, muscle tension, movement, and other subtle somatic cues. By working at the cognitive, emotional and somatic levels, we can help integrate the disparate parts of experience – mind, emotions and body – into a coherent whole.

Basic Information

Services

I offer individual therapy for adults as well as couples therapy, available in-person in Warsaw (city centre) and online. I support people who are experiencing relationship difficulties, life crises, or a sense of being stuck, as well as those struggling with anxiety, sadness, burnout, chronic stress, or feelings of overwhelm and loss of meaning. I also work with the aftereffects of trauma, grief, and loneliness, offering space to process and integrate difficult experiences. Beyond addressing distress, I accompany people who wish to better understand their emotions and needs, develop greater self-compassion, and build relationships that feel closer, more balanced, and authentic. The first 1-3 sessions are consultative. Their purpose is to get to know each other, establish therapy goals and the framework for working together.
