Mrs Gerda Kriel

Clinical Psychologist

Therapy is a collaborative process aimed at improving the lives and relationships of clients.

About Me

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Audas Estate, Western Cape, South Africa. I treat mood disorders, postnatal and perinatal depression, personality difficulties, PTSD, and relationship issues. I provide advocacy, parenting support, and family therapy.

Approach

Gerda Kriel works from a collaborative, person-centred approach. She combines keen clinical observational skills to assist in formulating and diagnosing a client's problem. This aids her in developing a unique approach to each client's needs in therapy. When trauma is suspected, Gerda uses EMI (Eye-movement integration therapy) which supports the patient through the trauma memory to gain healing from it.
