Dr Gary Trosclair

Social Worker (Mental Health)

I have 30 years experience as a psychotherapist & Jungian analyst. I specialize in workaholism & obsessive-compulsive personality (OCPD).

About Me

I offer a dedicated space to explore the complex dynamics of workaholism and obsessive-compulsive personality. Drawing on my extensive experience as a psychotherapist and Jungian analyst, I guide individuals seeking to understand their driven nature and find greater balance. We can gently uncover the deeper patterns that shape your life, helping you navigate perfectionism or rigidity. My aim is to help you cultivate a more integrated self, fostering inner freedom and well-being.

Approach

After years helping people untangle their driven patterns, I focus sessions on tracing how perfection and control shape choices, feelings, and even dreams. In my Tuckahoe office and online, in English, sessions move at a deliberate, reflective pace — we notice moments of tension in the body, explore recurring images from sleep, and test small changes between meetings. The work is collaborative and gentle but exacting, attending to anger, burnout, or weariness beneath the surface. People seeking clearer boundaries and more ease often find this pace helpful.
