About Me

Hi, I’m Gareth, an Integrative Therapist with a compassionate, affirming approach. I specialise in working with anxiety, shame, ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, LGBTQ+ issues and ethical non monogamy. I offer sessions in Milton Keynes, online or on the phone.

Approach

Therapy is a collaborative journey where my priority is creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood. I believe effective therapy builds from a foundation of trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My approach integrates several humanistic and evidence-based modalities, allowing us to draw upon different techniques that resonate with your specific needs and preferences. I value flexibility and responsiveness in the therapeutic process. Taking the step to seek support can be challenging. I recognise that everyone's story is different, and I'm here to listen without judgement as you navigate your path toward healing and growth.

Basic Information

Services

Anxiety – We can explore the origins of your anxiety, understand its function in your life and develop personalised strategies to reduce its impact on your daily experiences. Depression - Let's understand the underlying factors contributing to your low mood whilst collaboratively building pathways toward healing, self-compassion and renewed possibility Trauma – We can process difficult emotions at your pace, develop resilience and gradually work toward a sense of integration and wellbeing. Relationship Challenges – Navigating conflict, communication difficulties, or seeking to understand relationship patterns. Our work together can offer insights and practical approaches to connection. Shame and Internalised Narratives - Shame can be a profound and isolating experience that cuts to the core of our sense of self. Unlike guilt, which focuses on specific actions, shame tells us that we are fundamentally flawed or unworthy. Together, we'll explore the roots of your shame, understanding how it developed and the protective mechanisms you've created. Our work will focus on developing self-compassion, challenging internalised negative beliefs, and gradually creating a more nurturing internal dialogue. We'll work to transform shame from a source of pain into an opportunity for profound self-understanding and healing. Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) – I provide affirming, inclusive support that honours your unique identity and lived experiences. My practice is welcoming to LGBTQ+ individuals, those exploring polyamory, ethical non-monogamy and people in alternative relationship structures.
