Mrs Gali Katide, MA

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Verified

I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in psychotherapy and psychological assessments for individuals, children, couples, groups, and families.

About Me

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HPCSA). I am also a registered practitioner with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). I obtained my Master's in Clinical Psychology at North-West University (Potchefstroom). I completed my Clinical Psychology Internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital and my Community Service in the Tshwane Health District. I have experience working with children, adults, families, and groups with different psychological conditions and general life challenges. I speak different South African languages (Setswana, isiZulu, Sesotho, and English), which makes it easier for me to work with a variety of clients.

Approach

I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy. The integrative approach involves selecting techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to a client’s particular problem. The integrative approach to therapy allows me to customise therapy to an individual. It also helps me to holistically view the client’s needs. Cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and systems therapy techniques are mostly used to customise therapy to individuals’ needs.
