Ms Frances Ward

Registered Counselor

I have 15 yrs + experience in the field of recovery from chronic stress, trauma informed care and addiction work. Our relationship is the foundation through which I provide a safe, consistent space for you to grow through. I offer brain based modalities which allows your nervous system to recharge, reset and rewire.

About Me

I offer a safe, predictable space for individuals navigating recovery from chronic stress, and trauma including addictions. With over 15 years' experience, I guide clients to foster resilience and growth. Our relationship is the foundation for this work. Herein, we can explore brain-based modalities. This helps the client gently process challenging experiences and build lasting stability. It's ideal for those who need more than talk therapy.

Approach

Because our relationship anchors the work, I guide sessions with steadiness and clear structure so you can safely explore what arises offering a predictable rhythm—short check-ins, breath and body noticing, and reflections between sessions. We use slow, brain-aware interventions, gentle parts work, mindfulness and somatic noticing to help stuck reactions (trauma) soften. New choices become possible. This approach fits people rebuilding from addiction, trauma or chronic stress who value steady, practical steps. I work with adults in Cape Town and online.
