Ms Fiona Wicksted

Educational Psychologist

verified by TherapyRoute

I am an analytically-oriented psychotherapist, whose training in educational psychology and early development informs my current practice with adolescents and adults.

About Me

As a practitioner of the talking cure, I am interested in the unique ways that we choose, to tell our life stories, and in the symptoms we develop to express our struggles. I attempt to help you to discover the meaning underlying these narratives which may be firmly lodged in earlier, long buried experiences.

Approach

Therapy is a dynamic process of self-exploration that takes the form of an evolving dialogue between client and therapist, but which may continue between sessions as an ongoing internal narrative. I attempt to facilitate your path back to yourself, in an empathic but challenging way, rather than to prescribe a one-size -fits-all, “solution”.
