Approach

Sessions unfold at a thoughtful, unhurried pace where I listen closely, reflect back recurring patterns and invite gentle curiosity about feelings and images. I offer English sessions in Durban and online, held in a contained, confidential space that respects pace and safety. We explore dreams, relational patterns and moment-to-moment experience, and I sometimes suggest short reflective tasks between meetings to deepen insight. This way of working tends to suit adults and couples seeking steady, curious progress toward clearer emotional freedom.

How can psychotherapy help?

If you are asking the question "Why me, why this, why now?" then therapy is the kind of transformative space you are looking for. None of us are exempt from the stresses and strains of life but how we respond to these is important. We don't need to wait until we are near collapse before we reach out to a therapist. Psychotherapy is extremely beneficial if you are feeling overwhelmed, confused or are just needing a safe space to navigate through emotionally turbulent or difficult times. Psychotherapy helps because you are able to talk to someone who is both objective, and has experience with how life transitions, trauma and relationships impact on your mental health.

More and more we are realising that our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Depression is said to be the common cold of our times. Anxiety is also endemic to our lives as the pace at which we are expected to perform and be available increases exponentially. It is therefore essential to tend to your psychological well-being to improve your overall sense of wellbeing.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." Anais Nin
