Mrs Farryn Schneiderman

Educational Psychologist

I am a professional and registered psychotherapist who is compassionate about working with children, teens, individuals, and their parents.

About Me

I am a registered educational psychologist in Birnam, Gauteng, working with individuals, children, teenagers, and their parents. I have been in private practice for 10 years and have previously worked in private schools and the NGO setting. My work includes understanding the individual's social, academic, and emotional wellbeing and assisting in developing resilience and optimal development.

Approach

Compassion guides how I meet families—gentle, structured sessions that balance playful exploration with clear assessment and collaborative planning. Based in Johannesburg (Gauteng), I offer English sessions in person and online, so children, teens and parents can join in ways that suit them. Sessions often involve psychodynamic talk and play therapy and can involve more practical CBT based approaches to assisting the client.
