Mrs Esther Engelbrecht

Registered Professional Counselor

As a Registered Professional Counsellor in Linden, Gauteng, I provide a confidential, solution-focused space for you to explore whatever life brings your way. My person-centred approach helps you manage anxiety and everyday stress, navigate life changes, and find healing through loss, grief, or relationship challenges. By blending psychoeducation with practical life skills—like mindfulness, self-care, and addiction recovery support—we work together to boost your self-esteem and find your path to overall well-being. I also offer art materials as an optional, creative tool for exploring feelings with no artistic skill required. Together, we will identify actionable steps to help you move through past hurts, gain clarity, and build a meaningful life where you can truly thrive.

About Me

My practice is grounded in the belief that being heard by a compassionate listener can spark profound growth. My perspective is shaped by a diverse life journey: years in corporate change management provide a practical lens for navigating transition; my life as an artist has taught me the wordless power of creativity and sensory engagement; and my journey through parenthood has been a humbling masterclass in continuous learning, the intricate complexities of care, and the vital importance of being present—finding joy in the simplest of moments. I am deeply passionate about helping you reconnect with what truly excites you, opening doors to a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Approach

As we journey together, I'll share helpful tools where they fit for you. If you're open to it, art can gently help explore your thoughts and feelings. My aim is to help you see new possibilities and grow self-compassion as you discover your own unique way forward. In a safe and caring space, I'm here to truly listen and support you without judgment. I value your experience and aim to work with you in a way that feels right for you, focusing on finding helpful steps forward together. My commitment is to be genuine, respectful, and walk alongside you with empathy. Come as you are. Session Fees: I charge medical aid rates: R650 per 50-60 minute session (2026 Rates). I am happy to claim directly from medical aid schemes.
