Mrs Emma West

Professional Counselor

I qualified in 2014 and I am BACP [British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy] Accredited.

About Me

Hello - my name is Emma and I am an experienced Online Counsellor having qualified in 2014. I am a very practical counsellor and I use a lot of psycho education in my work - learning about how the brain works but without needing to be a neuroscientist! So if you want a better understanding of why you think, feel and behave in the way you do, together with practical strategies for change then please get in touch. I can help you with a range of issues including stress, low mood, anxiety, dissatisfaction at work or with life in general, low self esteem/confidence, relationship/family problems, parenting issues, loss, anger and trauma. I have a lot of experience of working with resident / trainee doctors, GPs, and people working in healthcare; I have specialist experience and knowledge of disability, carer, health, student and gender dysphoria issues, and I am LGBTQIA2S+ affirmative. I also have lived experience of rare disability and carer issues.
