Mr Eliud Opiyo, MA

Certified Psychologist

When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors ,it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. I help my clients ,who include children , adults and families to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful ,complete ,whole and safe. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities over my educational period My educational background include a degree and master's in psychology from different Universities as well as other trainings in various institutions.

About Me

I am a therapist with a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate emotional complexity, personal struggles, and transformative life transitions. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or burdened by experiences they have not fully processed, offering a space where they can explore these challenges with honesty and depth. My approach is thoughtful, client-centered, and grounded in both emotional insight and practical direction. I do not believe in surface-level conversations ,our work focuses on understanding underlying patterns, building emotional resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change. I support clients dealing with anxiety, relationship challenges, stress, and unresolved life experiences, guiding them toward greater clarity, stability, and self-awareness. Therapy, in my practice, is a process of both healing and personal strengthening. I aim to provide a professional, respectful, and engaging therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, challenged when necessary, and supported in moving toward a more balanced and intentional life.

Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to ensure that our work together is both meaningful and effective. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to emotional distress. I also use person-centered principles, creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Where appropriate, I integrate psychodynamic perspectives to explore deeper emotional patterns and past experiences that may be influencing present challenges. Additionally, I focus on building practical coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and resilience to support long-term well-being. My aim is not only to help you manage current difficulties, but also to empower you with the insight and tools needed to navigate future challenges with confidence and clarity.

Basic Information

Services

I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing emotional distress, particularly in the areas of anxiety, stress, and overwhelming life pressures. I work with clients who may feel stuck, uncertain, or mentally and emotionally fatigued, helping them regain clarity and stability. I also have a strong focus on relationship challenges, including interpersonal conflict, communication difficulties, and patterns that affect personal and professional relationships. My work helps clients develop healthier boundaries, improve communication, and build more fulfilling connections. In addition, I support individuals navigating life transitions—whether related to career, identity, loss, or major personal changes. These periods can be disorienting, and therapy provides a space to process, adapt, and move forward with intention. I am particularly interested in working with individuals dealing with unresolved emotional experiences, helping them understand underlying patterns and develop healthier ways of coping and responding. My overall focus is to support clients in building emotional resilience, self-awareness, and practical strategies that lead to lasting personal growth and improved well-being.
