“I offer short-term and long-term counselling to adults who have survived sexual abuse or rape. ”

About me

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I have undertaken specialised training in trauma therapy, enabling me to work with adults who have experienced sexual abuse. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure that I work professionally, safely, and ethically. I am fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and ICO registration.

Approach

I work from a person-centred approach and incorporate other therapeutic models to suit your individual needs, including stabilisation, mindfulness, psychoeducation, DBT, and other approaches. I offer in-person sessions in Kent, including Rochester, Gillingham, and Sittingbourne, as well as in the London Bridge area, and online. I offer both short- and long-term counselling, depending on your needs. Counselling can help you understand what you have been through, as well as the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing now. Working together, we can explore what you are going through, identify patterns or cycles, work on boundaries, and help you regain a sense of control. I can also help you develop practical ways to cope when challenges arise and support you in moving forward with greater confidence and positivity.

You may feel that you do not matter or that you are worthless. Anxiety, panic, and flashbacks can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself. You may also find it difficult to trust others or form and maintain relationships.
