Duncan Yates

Counseling Psychologist

My approach is committed to providing a confidential, and relaxed space to help clients process and understand their emotional and psychological difficulties that may be causing distress. I have been registered as a Psychologist for over 15 years in both South Africa and the United Kingdom.

About Me

My aim is to help you navigate life's challenges within a relaxed and confidential space. I guide individuals seeking to process and understand the emotional difficulties causing them distress. With over 15 years of experience as a registered Psychologist, I offer a steady, supportive presence. Here, we can explore your concerns at your own pace. This helps you move towards greater clarity and personal well-being.

Approach

In a calm, confidential setting in Randburg I focus on gentle, practical steps that help you make sense of what’s causing distress, with sessions conducted in English. We work at a pace that suits you, blending focused reflection, mindfulness practices and brief between-session tasks to build steady coping skills. When clarity is needed I use targeted assessment to map attention, mood or trauma patterns and turn findings into manageable, reviewed goals. This approach tends to help those facing transitions, anxiety, attention challenges or grief.
