Mrs Donna Du Plooy

Educational Psychologist

An experienced Educational Psychologist working with children, families, teachers and schools.

About Me

Navigating educational challenges can be complex for children and their families. As an experienced Educational Psychologist, I partner with children, families, teachers, and schools, creating clear pathways forward. My work often involves bringing these key voices together to develop shared strategies. This collaborative approach ensures consistent support, making me a strong match for holistic solutions connecting home and school.

Approach

Sessions begin with a focused review of current strengths and challenges, then move into assessment‑informed planning that balances classroom demands with home routines. I work in Stellenbosch and can meet in English or Afrikaans; sessions are structured, paced to an adolescent or family's needs, and include clear feedback, practical strategies and short, achievable tasks to try between meetings. Parents and teachers are invited to share observations so strategies fit daily life. This approach tends to suit families seeking coordinated, realistic support.
