Ms Disha Manchekar

Psychologist

I offer a healing space for your trauma, relationship issues and mindest clarity created using psychotherapeutic tools, compassion and lot of humanity.

About Me

With 8 years of experience in the mental healthcare field, I have realised that every client is unique — their issues, wellness goals and recovery or healing journey. My approach to therapy is neither fixed nor rigid. I use an eclectic approach to therapy focusing on healing the mind-body relation offering a more holistic care to my clients. We work as per your pace. We use techniques that best align with your progress. And, right where a motivation is necessary, that's where you will find me again guiding you through.

Approach

Human beings are beautifully unique, which is why a "one-size-fits-all" framework rarely works in therapy. That is why our practice uses an Eclectic Approach to Therapy. An eclectic approach means we do not force you to fit into one rigid psychological theory. Instead, we adapt the therapy to fit you. Because this approach is highly flexible, your therapy will be as unique as your signature. Depending on what you need in the moment, we might draw from: 1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help you identify, challenge, and reshape negative or unhelpful thought patterns. 2. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you accept your emotions, stay anchored in the present moment, and take meaningful action aligned with your core values. 3. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): To provide you with practical, real-world skills for managing intense emotions, surviving crises, and improving your relationships. 4. Gestalt Therapy: To gently increase your self-awareness in the "here and now," helping you process unspoken feelings and connect your mind to your body. 5. Trauma-Focused Therapy: To offer a deeply safe, compassionate space where we can carefully process past hurts and help your nervous system feel secure again. You don't have to figure out the right "type" of therapy before you reach out. Bring your story, your challenges, and your goals, and I will build the perfect roadmap to healing together.
