Psychotherapist

Verified

I believe that our mental health and emotional well-being is as important as our physical health. It requires nurturing and care, along with healing and growth. My aim is to help a person understand their inner world, consisting of their emotions, thoughts, beliefs, etc., and utilise it to develop a healthy relationship with their external world.

About Me

I am a qualified psychologist and psychotherapist, working in the field of mental health for the past 12 years. Over the years, I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples and parents in diverse settings. I focus on creating a safe and judgment-free space for my clients. I am open to and appreciate getting feedback from my clients to help tailor the sessions according to their needs. In my office, you will find warmth, understanding, and acceptance from another human being to help you heal and grow.

Approach

I have an eclectic approach to therapy using a trauma-informed lens. I combine techniques from different frameworks, mainly the humanistic and client-centred approaches. I also include positive psychotherapy and counselling through strengths-based therapy, focusing on internal strengths and improving resilience. The trauma-informed approach is at the core of my therapeutic approach; understanding the impact of traumatic experiences on a person and helping them navigate those experiences is crucial to my process.
