About Me
Approach
My approach is always supportive, warm and open-minded. I work from a Person-Centered Therapy perspective, meaning that I support you to (re)discover your strengths and reconnect with your own wisdom/direction, but do not tell you how to live your life. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a therapy that focuses on clarifying your values and using them in how you make decisions and live your day-to-day life, as well as somatic techniques. (I also use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when appropriate). In therapy, the client’s individual needs are always central, and I adjust my approach depending on your needs. What is most important is that you feel listened to, supported and thoroughly understood, and that you find value in the new understandings you develop during the sessions, which you can then apply to your daily life.

Are you feeling worried or overwhelmed? Are there concerns on your mind that are making it hard to feel calm or to relax? Are you stuck on what to do next, or how to feel better? As a mental health counsellor, I can help.
Counselling is a place to talk about anything that is on your mind, in an empathetic and non-judgemental space. In our sessions, I help you to make sense of your situation, better understand your thoughts and feelings, and develop new insights and decisions - helping you get unstuck and moving into a calmer, more confident life you feel good about.
I offer confidential, English-speaking counselling sessions for women and mothers in Amsterdam and online, focusing on untangling the spots in which you may be stuck and supporting you in discovering your strengths.
Areas of focus:
Overwhelm, worry, anxiety
Surviving and thriving as a parent
Surviving and thriving with ADHD
About me:
I have a passion for helping people develop a deeper understanding of their lives. Clients describe me as open-minded and empathetic. I do not judge, I only support you towards living a life that is right for you. I have a strong belief that each of us has the right to live a unique life that suits us personally, no cookie-cutter solutions here! I also have a warm sense of humour and truly love my job. I grew up in four countries on two continents and as an adult have lived in London, New York, Rome, Hong Kong, and now Amsterdam. I am married with two young children and have personal experience with the areas of focus I mention above.
