Mrs Denise Patten

Psychotherapist

Integratively trained psychotherapist who is able to tailor her skills to meet an individual's needs. Working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, trauma and sexual assault and/or abuse. I have my own premises in Leyland, Preston for seeing clients face-to-face and can work via telephone or zoom

About Me

Understanding that your experience is unique, I tailor my integrative psychotherapy approach to meet your individual needs. We can explore challenges like anxiety, depression, bereavement, or relationship issues in a supportive, confidential space. Our sessions aim to help you make sense of your feelings and find practical ways forward. Whether we meet face-to-face in Leyland or online, your comfort and progress are key.

Approach

Tailoring my integrative skills means we move at a pace that feels manageable, naming patterns and small shifts rather than rushing for answers. Sessions happen in my Leyland consulting room or via secure Zoom or phone, with practicality and your comfort guiding choices. I use reflective listening, gentle challenge and psychoeducation, offering tasks you can try between meetings so new ways of relating and coping can be practiced, especially around shame, loss, trauma and relationship strain. This steady, collaborative style suits adults facing mood, grief or complex relational difficulties.
